With a brick/bottle you can stun and insta-kill 1 guy and then fist-fight another guy, which means you can auto-win a fist-fight against 2 guys ( doesn't work if they have guns or are clickers).Īgainst humans stealth is your best friend. Normally you can auto-win a fist-fight against 1 guy. I'm currently playing through NG+ Grounded, and I've found it Much easier after realising some things. It’ll be lots of trial and error, but remember that you CAN sneak past most infected, even clickers and bloaters. I was able to do the entire game on my own without helpful videos EXCEPT learning how to sneak through the Tunnels. When I first started playing grounded I found it extremely helpful to plan ahead for encounters. (You need your shivs for shiv doors, and crafting speed is unnecessary since you’ll be making molotovs instead of health kits.) Crafting speed and shiv master are pointless on grounded. Health upgrades will allow Joel to take approximately one extra bullet per upgrade.

Depending upon your style, focus on health or weapon sway upgrades first. Remember that you only get a machete and an axe twice each in the game. Don’t craft nail bombs, craft shivs for shiv doors. Even on grounded, two molotovs will kill any bloater, so save your molotovs! Other than that, you can sneak past every other bloater.

The best advice I can give is to plan ahead for two of the bloaters: the school and the winter bloater.
